Open the Door Already!

Donna and Misty - Music fans
A small but nice living room set is on stage. Donna and Misty enter from stage right.
DONNA: Is everything ready?
MISTY: We’ve got dinner in the oven, new sheets on the guest room bed.
DONNA: Do you think it’s comfortable enough? Do we need some more pillows?
MISTY: There are ten pillows on that bed!
DONNA: You’re right, we need more.
MISTY: Relax, let’s just pause, catch our breath, and prepare ourselves.
DONNA: I can’t believe this is happening.
MISTY: I can’t believe it either!
DONNA: Austin Bleeber is staying in this house!
They grab hands and scream and jump up and down.
MISTY: Austin Bleeber is the greatest singer ever!
DONNA: He’s so cute!
MISTY: He’s such a good dancer!
DONNA: And he’s a great actor!
MISTY: Oh I love that movie he did! You know that one movie with that other guy and that other guy?
DONNA: Of course! I waited in line five hours for tickets!
MISTY: Really? You didn’t just buy them online?
DONNA: You can do that?
MISTY: Where do you think I got my front row seats to his last concert?
DONNA: And now... now he’s going to be staying here!
They scream and jump up and down.
MISTY: Don’t you think it’s a little odd, him staying here?
DONNA: Why is it odd?
MISTY: Austin Bleeber is a big star. He can stay in any hotel he wants. Why would he want to stay in a nice, suburban home like this?
DONNA: If he didn’t, we wouldn’t be able to make an important point and teach a valuable lesson to the kids.
They look at the audience.
MISTY: Where did they come from?
Off stage, there’s a knock.
DONNA: He’s here!
MISTY: I can’t believe it! Austin Bleeber is here! He’s finally here, at my house! I can’t believe of all the houses in the world he wanted to come to mine.
Knock.
MISTY: How lucky I am that Austin Bleeber wants to stay here in my guest room. And now he is here.
DONNA: Yes, he’s here. Shouldn’t you let him in?
Knock.
MISTY: Let him in?
DONNA: Open the door!
MISTY: Why?
DONNA: So he can come in the house!
MISTY: But he’s already here!
DONNA: Right. And now you have to let him inside the house.
MISTY: Why?
DONNA: Because he’s not really here if you don’t!
Knock.
MISTY: But he is here! Austin Bleeber is at my house.
DONNA: Not until you open the door!
MISTY: Why do you keep saying that?
DONNA: Because you HAVE to open the door! Austin wants go come here. He came a long way just to stay here, but if you want him to stay...
MISTY: I have to open the door?
DONNA: Yes!
Knock.
DONNA: See? I told you there was a good lesson for the kids to learn.
MISTY: JUST OPEN THE DOOR!
DONNA: Right. Coming!!
Donna runs off stage left.
