Just a quick comment/ observation about churches and their websites: if you want people to come to your church, maybe you should put your service times on your home page instead of burying it on your website.
Just as an example, I looked at four websites for four local, big churches to find service times for this morning. Here's where I found their service times:
Church 1 - Click the link for a campus, then click a tab for service times. (2 clicks away)
Church 2 - Click on the "I'm New" tab, then service times (2 clicks)
Church 3 - Click on Locations & Services (1 click)
Church 4 - I am still looking for service times after 10 minutes of browsing.
Church 3 was the quickest and easiest to find. Can't complain about a big button that says what I am looking for. And to be fair, Church 1 has multiple locations and clearly labels the service times tab. Church 2 is trying to be a little too cute with it, and Church 4 needs a new web master.
Update: Kim Stone from DramaMinistry.com/ Belden Street Music Co. asked me to add a few thoughts of hers:
Could you also add to this post a note to churches that a) have no website; b) have a website but have absolutely no up to date info on it. The first place I look when looking for a church is usually their web site. If I can't find anything, I usually cross it off my list of places to try! But don't get me started...
